State policymakers participated in health workshops and policy meetings to stay informed on current health-related trends at this forum. Legislators learned more about how states are developing plans to cover the uninsured and the tough decisions states may be facing with the new cervical cancer vaccine. Other workshops included worksite wellness, child abuse and what issues legislators need to be aware of to respond to the problem of counterfeit drugs in the U.S. market.
