State policymakers participated in health workshops and policy meetings to stay informed on current health-related trends. Legislators learned more about how states are preventing disease and promoting health and the tough budgetary decisions states may be facing due to the "graying of America." Other workshops included Alzheimer's Disease and health information technology.
